The Demo & Training Solutions Specialist – Oceania is responsible for commissioning, training and presales workflow guidance on Ross Video Live Production Solutions, integrating them into client sites throughout the region. The position requires advanced knowledge on live production systems, including Production Switchers, Graphics, and Routing.

This front-line individual is responsible for managing customer expectations, completing required documentation, providing end user technical & operational training and ensuring that the solution performs as specified. The individual collaborates closely with the Sales and Technical Services Teams to deliver the Ross Superior Customer Experience.

What the job is all about:

Demonstrations

  • Perform on-site, off-site, online/remote customer demonstrations and tradeshow events
  • Responsible for maintaining the operational and technical integrity of demo and training experiences and providing solutions for improvements
  • Set up, prepare, and test equipment before demos, roadshows and tradeshows
  • Advise Sales and Marketing Product Management (MPM) on industry trends and customer feedback
  • Maintain advanced knowledge and skill sets of Ross Video’s solutions, which contain product lines including Production Switchers, Character Generation & Graphics, Routing, Signal Processing, Camera motion systems, Video Servers, and Production Workflow tools
  • Create demonstration techniques and materials for internal use

Training 

  • Perform on-site, and online customer trainings
  • Provide product and solutions training to other Ross colleagues and Business Partners
  • Maintain training equipment, assist with set-up and prepare equipment prior to training sessions
  • Maintain the integrity of the training experience and provides feedback and input
  • Maintain knowledge of Ross Solutions and Products, train on multiple platforms, and assist in workflow implementation cross products

 Commissioning

  • Perform onsite software installation and upgrades, commissioning multiple product lines
  • Encompasses troubleshooting technical and system issues at customer facilities, providing comprehensive customer and technical support, and maintaining thorough documentation, such as daily reports
  • Maintain advanced knowledge in relevant product lines, provide customer feedback to Sales, Management, and Product teams.

Technical Support

  • Assist the Technical Support team to research, diagnose, and resolve customer issues, as required.

Project Coordination

  • Be the client-facing contact for the delivery of Ross Video’s solutions, understanding client needs, supporting user requirements creation, and facilitating communication between Ross Video and the client
  • Be the bridge between Sales Team and the project, ensuring SOW changes and its associated impact are understood and implemented seamlessly
  • Deliver projects to customers through to handover
  • Guide project activities and communicate outcomes effectively
  • Ensures the Sales, Marketing and Service Delivery of our Solutions follows the Ross Video Code of Ethics

Who you are:

  • Minimum 5 years of combined experience in Broadcast engineering, operations, systems application, product specialisation, or related fields
  • Experience in project coordination
  • Proven track record and technical expertise in customer-facing environments
  • Understanding of live production operations and workflows and has strong knowledge of industry-standards
  • Experience with common Live Production products, including Television graphics systems, video servers, production switchers, routers, and device control protocols
  • Ability to clearly communicate and present ideas to various audiences with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools, even in highly stressful situations
  • Well-organized, very details oriented, positive, determined, and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be able to work with a team as well as independently
  • Skilled at navigating uncertainty and learning swiftly

  • Existing knowledge and use of Ross Video products

Other:

  • Holds a valid passport as required to travel up to 60% of time for industry trade shows and Sales Meetings as required
  • Valid Driver’s License & a clear driving record
  • Work from home office, with high volume travel as required
