As a Full Stack AI Developer at Ross Research Labs, you will be at the forefront of integrating artificial intelligence into our cutting-edge products and services. This role requires a unique blend of AI expertise and full-stack development skills, enabling you to contribute to every stage of the product development lifecycle—from concept and design to deployment and optimization. You will work closely with other members of the RRL team and the R&D team to build and deploy AI-driven features that provide real-time insights, improve user experience, and drive innovation in broadcast and video production technologies. Your work will focus on leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and enhancing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems to deliver highly accurate and efficient AI solutions.

What the job is all about:

  • AI Algorithm Development: Design, implement, and optimize AI algorithms, with a particular focus on LLMs, that provide personalized insights, enhance product functionality, and improve user engagement.
  • LLM Integration: Access and utilize LLM models within our codebase, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance in production environments.
  • RAG System Enhancement: Fine-tune and optimize RAG systems, including tasks such as re-ranking and retrieval improvements, to enhance the relevance and accuracy of AI-generated outputs.
  • Full Stack Development: Develop and maintain the full stack of our platforms, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability across web and cloud environments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product, design, and engineering teams to define, develop, and ship new features that leverage AI to create impactful user experiences.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify performance bottlenecks, debug issues, and deploy fixes and enhancements to ensure our AI-driven solutions are robust and reliable.
  • Innovation and Prototyping: Lead the development of advanced AI-driven tools and frameworks that accelerate the ML/AI feature development cycle and support rapid prototyping.
  • Code Quality and Review: Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and Ross Video’s coding standards.

 

Who you are:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. A master’s degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Technical Experience: Proficient in coding languages such as Python, Node.js, Golang, and JavaScript (with experience in frameworks like React), and familiar with API concepts such as RESTful API, WebSocket connectivity, and backend SQL.
  • AI/ML Expertise: Experience in using, developing, and deploying ML/AI models to production at scale, with a particular focus on LLMs. Proficiency with popular AI/ML frameworks and tools.
  • Web Development: Proven track record of developing and scaling web applications, particularly those involving high-load distributed systems and cloud deployments.
  • RAG Systems: Experience in working with RAG systems, including fine-tuning re-ranking algorithms and optimizing retrieval mechanisms.
  • Cloud Computing: Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS, including experience in deploying and managing AI workloads in cloud environments.
  • Collaboration Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across various teams and disciplines.

 

Bonus points if you have the following:

  • Advanced AI/ML Skills: Experience in designing, deploying, and optimizing AI/ML workloads in production environments, especially involving LLMs.
  • Scalable Systems: Expertise in building scalable, distributed systems, including familiarity with message brokers, job queues, and event-driven architectures.
  • Advanced Degree: A postgraduate degree in computer science, machine learning, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead by example, mentor junior developers, and drive innovation within the team.
