Join our team as a Soup Cook and assist in crafting high-quality soups at Sandridge Crafted Foods. This role involves following established recipes, operating various cooking equipment, and maintaining stringent cleanliness and safety standards in our production environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Preparation and Cooking: Follow exact recipes to produce soups that meet our quality standards. Prepare ingredients and operate cooking equipment such as kettles and mixers.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow food safety regulations, including HACCP and USDA standards. Maintain cleanliness in the cooking area and ensure all equipment is spotless.
  • Record Keeping: Document cooking processes, ingredient batches, and temperatures as required for process documentation.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and sanitize cooking equipment and work areas between batches to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Team Support: Work collaboratively with other cooks and the Lead Soup Cook to ensure a smooth production flow and uphold quality control.

Training and Development:

  • Initial Training: Comprehensive training on your first day at New Oxford, PA.
  • Additional Training: After successful initial training, you will travel to Medina, OH, for a one-week specialized training session to further enhance your skills and understanding of our cooking processes.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Prior experience in a food production environment is preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to follow detailed cooking instructions and safety protocols. Basic math skills are necessary for adjusting recipes and measuring ingredients.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods and frequently lift to 30 lbs. The role involves working in varying temperature conditions.
