As a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician, you will perform the pre-delivery inspections of new vehicles and install accessories while conducting light mechanical duties such as oil changes, tire rotating, and tire replacements. 

 

PDI Technician Responsibilities Include: 

  • Follow pre-delivery inspection forms on all vehicles. 
  • Install accessories when required on vehicles. 
  • Perform oil changes when required per vehicle. 
  • Perform tire rotation when required per vehicle. 
  • Conduct vehicle inspections outlined outside of the PDI form when required per vehicle. 
  • Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service’s DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision. 

 

PDI Technician Qualifications and Skills:  

  • Must have a valid driver’s license. 
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of a vehicle. 
  • Experience with oil changes, light mechanical work, and tire rotations. 
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle tools and torque specs. 
  • Knowledge/Experience with hoisting a vehicle. 
  • Ability to lift and move accessory parts, occasionally up to 100 lbs. 
  • Ability to read and understand a service manual and procedures. 
  • Ability to track and write down labor time spent and write out any issues found with vehicles.
