The Automotive Technician will perform service and maintenance operations on a wide variety of vehicles including prototype, concept, racing, pace, classic, and present model year.
Automotive Technician Responsibilities include:
- Inspect vehicle condition and mechanical functionality.
- Perform maintenance and repair operations.
- Document all maintenance/repair operations.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical concerns.
- Mount and balance tires.
- Assist with loading and unloading of non-running vehicles.
- Operate a Hi-Lo.
- Utilize vehicle diagnosis equipment/software.
- Test-drive and validate repair operations.
- Meet deadlines.
- Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service’s DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.
Automotive Technician Qualifications and Skills:
- A high school diploma/GED.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- A high degree of automotive expertise.
- Ability to service multiple vehicles at once while waiting for parts/authorization.
- Respect for vehicles GLS is entrusted to care for.
- Personal responsibility and ownership of all work performed, quality of work delivered, and GLS reputation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction.
- Must have superior attendance, and be prompt and reliable.

- Vehicle hoist

- Shop runner vehicle
Automotive Technician Working Conditions and Physical Demands include:
- Applicants must be okay standing for extended periods of time with occasional lifting, pulling, pushing, and sitting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
