We are hiring Rockstars to join our Sauer Brands team!

Overall Goal of the Territory Account Manager - Foodservice/Away From Home Position: 

This role is 100% foodservice selling Sauer Brands branded products into distribution through stronger operator penetration in key markets. The Territory Account Manager is responsible for the achievement of territory volume objectives, forecast accuracy, promotional execution, distribution targets, new item penetration, SBI Branded focus and overall Foodservice / AFH Sales Execution.  

 

This position is responsible for end user customers, with smaller Distribution responsibilities, in all channels and segments as outlined by Regional Sales Manager, Zone Sales Manager and VP of Sales. The TAM position is responsible for delivering creative, fact-based solutions and thought leadership that will help build Sauer Brands at assigned customers to help make OurRecipe@SauerBrands.

 

Territory Account Manager - Foodservice/Away From Home Job Summary:
Responsible for proactively managing, monitoring, evaluating and holding accountability for the overall business plan to meet all volume, profit and share objective. Primary focus is to (a) Achieve all sales objectives and specific volume goals through customer management, execution of account plans and brand strategies that will meet key performance indicators of our branded portfolio (KPIs), (b) manage complete relationship with customers, distributors, and internal resources (c) manage trade plans where needed and profitability of sku mix and branded portfolio. Role reports to Regional Sales Manager. 
 
Key Duties and Responsibilities of the Territory Account Manager - Foodservice/Away From Home Position: 

  • Achievement of sales objectives and specific volume goals through customer and SBI Foodservice / AFH initiative management, execution of account plans and brand strategies.
  • Manage trade funds to support marketing and promotional plans at the local level through internal support and communication of Headquarter programs.
  • Develop and leverage relationships at all levels of assigned customers.
  • Leverage category, brand and shopper insights from internal marketing team.
  • Develop and deliver customer plans to achieve objectives within budget.
  • Deliver short- and long-term solutions through best practice thought leadership.
  • Work closely cross functionally to produce timely business updates for senior leadership.
  • Articulate and detailed updates and communication within CRM system.
  • Work closely with Customer Service to ensure on time deliveries through accurate forecasting.
  • Work as an escalation path with Credit and Collections for past due accounts.

    • Commercial-Revenue, Gross Margins, Distribution
      • Broadline distribution
      • Targeted list of Operators
    • Branded volume growth, Distribution growth, channel development, YOY sales growth, Branded points of distribution growth
  • Spending Effectiveness
    • Trade spending optimization
    • Pricing negotiations
  • What you do and how you act
    • Leadership and contribution to overall success of SBI
    • Personal Effectiveness-meeting timelines and productivity requirements (quantity and quality of work)
    • Personal interaction, communication and teamwork with internal and external parties, consistent with OurRecipe@SauerBrands

  • Education & Experience:
    • BS/BA degree in business or related technical discipline
    • 3-5 years of foodservice selling experience desired, with a minimum of 3 years of interactions with relevant accounts
    • Condiment and Spice experience a plus
  • Other:
    • Local travel required (50% - 75%)
