Maintenance I - Maintenance III

Overall Goal of Position:
This position is responsible for keeping a variety of machines, appliances, and mechanical systems operating safely and efficiently, by conducting preventive maintenance and responding to requests for equipment assistance to help maintain optimized production flow and helping to make OurRecipe@SauerBrands.
Job Summary
Maintains the efficient operation of plant systems and machinery by responding to requests for equipment assistance, trouble shooting, correcting machine problems, and conducting Preventative Maintenance tasks to support operations in production and throughout the plant. Reports to Maintenance Manager.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs all duties safely, follow all safety guidelines, and actively participates in site safety programs.
- Performs machine setups, installations and changeovers.
- Performs routine inspection, emergency/unscheduled repairs and preventive maintenance repairs of production equipment.
- Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, equipment/repair manuals, parts catalogs and work orders.
- Diagnoses problems, replaces or repair parts, tests and makes adjustments.
- Performs regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on machines and equipment.
- Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detects faulty operations, defective material and reports those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Creates/fabricates parts as needed.
- Opens/closes facility as directed.
- Performs other duties as assigned as one develops into higher levels of the department.

- Education & Experience:
- Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial/electrical maintenance preferably in a food production or manufacturing environment
- Advanced skills and experience with PLC, photo-eye, automation, fabrication/welding desired
- Experience with Maximo, PeopleSoft, RedZone and/or Outlook 365 a huge plus
- Well versed in lock-out/tag-out procedures
- Position may be filled at a level I - III
