Merch Coordinator - Data Integrity

Purpose 

This role is a member of Save A Lot’s data team and is responsible for entering and maintaining master item/vendor data. 

 

Responsibilities 

Master Item Set-Up / Maintenance 

  • Enters/updates special buy and everyday items 
  • Updates item cost information in one of two cost systems 
  • Maintains item hierarchy to ensure correct sales reporting 
  • Applies/removes item blocking 

Resolve Store Scanning Issues 

  • Executes/communicates resolutions made to Service Now tickets 

Vendor Maintenance 

  • Liaison between merchant and accounting teams for setting up new vendors 

Assists Fellow Master Data Steward Members 

  • Weekly/monthly item cost information 
  • Direct Store Delivery (DSD) item information 
  • Special projects as requested by Master Data Manager 

 

About You 

  • High School degree or GED required.  Associates degree preferred 
  • At least one year of previous data entry experience 
  • Reading, writing, math, and communication skills at a proficient level 
  • Ability to follow verbal or written instruction 
  • Keyboarding proficiency 
  • Math skills at a proficient level 
  • Computer skills:  Microsoft Word/Excel 

 

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to travel up to ~10% of the time, which may include weekends and evenings, as needed. 
  • Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled environment 
  • Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal 
  • Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday 
  • Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
