JOB SUMMARY:

The HR Generalist administers several critical human resources functions and workforce management, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, health and wellness, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, and employee engagement. The generalist also facilitates and communicates organizational policies and programs, ensuring labor law and regulatory compliance. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment for all RWA positions.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Develop and update job descriptions and job postings.
  • Manage the orientation process for new employees.

 

Employee Relations/Labor Relations:

  • Assist with employee concerns and issues, providing guidance and resolution.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and support diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Assist with all Employee Programs and Events

 

Performance Management:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of performance management programs.
  • Provide support and guidance to managers on performance evaluation processes.

 

Training and Development:

  • Provide support to the training manager on HR-related topics as needed.

 

Benefits Administration:

  • Assist with communicating and enrolling employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, health and wellness programs, and other benefits.

 

Compliance and Policy Implementation:

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. 
  • Maintain and update HR policies and employee handbook.
  • Conducted audits, legal postings, and HR activities to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

 

HR Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and employee files.
  • Generate and analyze HR metrics and reports.
  • Utilize HRIS systems to streamline HR processes.
  • Provides support in other HR Functional areas as needed.

 

What you’ll need to be successful in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree, equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably as a Generalist.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Must be able to work outside of regular business hours based on the organization's needs.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing talent acquisition processes, social networks, and candidate pipelines.
  • Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization and ability to partner with managers and employees to positively impact business results.
  • Adaptable, resourceful, and able to work in a fast-moving environment.

And if you have this, even better:

  • SHRM certification (PHR or SPHR)
  • Tech savviness. You have the strong ability to navigate through various software programs and social media platforms.
  • Background in Recruiting/Staffing.
