We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Field Safety Valve Coordinator to lead our Safety Valve Protection Plan! As the key point of contact for contractors and claim customers, you will ensure the efficiency and productivity for the use of personnel, equipment and material within the Field Service department as it relates to the Safety Valve Protection Plan. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assessing of “scope of work” prior to the assignment of a dig and to provide contractor with initial findings. (Local digs are scoped prior)
  • Assigning contractors for any dig claim including in home plumbing, water, and/or sewer jobs
  • Tracking of all claims on a spreadsheet with estimate of claim cost, date of claim, date dig scheduled, notes, etc.
  • Run a weekly report to check for new Sewer enrollments and make randomly selections for a sewer inspection.
  • Conduct random site visits for dig jobs.
  • Contact customers to advise claim status and provide information on the contractor assigned to the job.
  • Review daily claim messages from CBSI (call center) and follow up with customer/contractor as needed.
  • Manage setup of new vendor /contractors / HSV services including changes to dig jobs and pricing models.
  • Manage relationship and provide updates to municipalities / Authorities / RPB and other stakeholders on customer impacts and job status.
  • Manage expense controls for HSV services including estimates(material/labor) for various claims.
  • Other duties as necessary to accomplish the strategic initiatives and mission, vision and values of our organization.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Educational Requirement:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and minimum of three (3) years of progressive responsibility and experience in a water utility with demonstrated knowledge of the operational functions of a water utility such as service installations and plumbing.
  • Must be available after hours and weekends for calls from CBSI or contractors for claim related inquiries.

Experience/Skills/Abilities:

  • Understanding of the Authority’s business and safety processes related to water service and utility operations.
  • Must be able to initiate and work through conflict to achieve desired change.
  • Ability to read and understand distribution maps, tap cards, and GIS records.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in performing duties.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP program, Microsoft Office products, GIS and all other associated department software programs.
