Position Summary:
Our Metals / Diffusion Equipment Section Manager is accountable for leading the Metals and Diffusion area equipment engineers and technicians to maintain and continuously improve our Metals deposition and Diffusion furnace equipment. In addition, they will closely collaborate with the Advanced Technology Services and Platform Technology Teams to install and develop new processing capabilities, enabling the next generation of exciting new products to be manufactured at SkyWater.
Responsibilities:
- Develop plans and drive progress on equipment performance improvement projects
- Manage daily resource allocation to maintain equipment availability to meet production targets
- Lead engineers and technicians with resolving unplanned down events and drive root cause corrective actions
- Collaborate with technology development to develop scalable manufacturing capability for our customers.
- Lead an engineers in solving complex problems and make appropriate engineering based decisions in a complex manufacturing environment.
- Ensure effective definition and deployment of Key Performance Indices (KPI’s) and Objectives and Key Results (OKR’s) to ensure operational and enterprise objectives are achieved
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years combined experience in an equipment role in a semiconductor, or similar, manufacturing environment
- Experience with application of structured problem-solving methodology
- Demonstrated ability to meet commitments and deliver results
- Ability to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously and shift priorities to meet business needs
- Demonstrated knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance of manufacturing equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of equipment experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
- 2+ year of management experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
- In depth experience with Metals (Endura, Plater) or Diffusion (VTR, AVP) Semiconductor manufacturing equipment
- High level understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Fault Detection and classification (FDC)
