As a member of the SkyWater Corporate Security team, the Systems Security Administrator is a hands-on contributor role responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Government Trusted IT systems infrastructure. You will lead efforts that will deliver highly available systems.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain existing physical and virtual servers on multiple operating systems (Unix, Linux, Windows, VMWARE).
  • Responsible for secured configuration and tuning of Government Trusted systems.
  • Adhere to Information Security guidelines in all cases.
  • Familiarity with DoD STIGs, deploying new STIGs and working with IT to develop POA&Ms for vulnerabilities that cannot be mitigated or STIG settings that cannot be applied (familiarity with RMF & eMass a plus).
  • Participate in strategic planning. Provide substantial input into infrastructure roadmap.
  • Proactively ensure highest infrastructure availability on premise and within the cloud.
  • Design comprehensive backup strategy to deliver file recovery to DR scenario for systems continuity.
  • Manage Network Attached Storage infrastructure.
  • Plan and implement systems automation.
  • Optimize physical and virtual server infrastructure across organization.
  • Plan and implement new equipment\software rollouts.
  • Perform hardware and software upgrades.
  • Assist with network related troubleshooting
  • Build and maintain server infrastructure documentation.
  • Create policy for software patching\maintenance to keep systems optimized and safe from security risks.
  • Liaison with stakeholders for new system design and implementation
  • Build and maintain scripts for automation of current manual processes.
  • Mentor junior level staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years’ experience as IT Systems Administrator: Preferably within 500+ employee org
  • Currently Active DoD Secret Clearance and TS/SCI eligible
  • Currently valid Security+ CE, CEH, CASP, CISSP or similar security certification
  • Experience with server operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix)
  • Experience with virtualization (VMWARE, Hyper-V).
  • NAS Technologies (Netapp a plus)
  • Solid cloud experience (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Experience with Blade chassis infrastructure
  • Comprehensive backup strategy (prefer in cloud solutions)
  • Scripting skills (Powershell, Perl, Python)
  • Automation software experience a plus (Puppet, Chef, VRealize)
  • Experience with Azure Server Management and Azure Automation Desired State Configuration a plus
  • Understanding of OSI and TCP/IP models a plus

Security Clearance:

  • Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
  • Willingness to submit to a polygraph.

US Citizenship Required:

This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship.
