We are searching for an Equipment Engineer for the Fab Facilities in Kissimmee, FL.  Do you improve plant equipment operations with pride, while setting and reinforcing a culture of safety? Reach out!

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor control system data and take appropriate actions when systems are out of control and changing unexpectedly.
  • Lead technicians with resolving unplanned down events and driving permanent Root Cause Corrective Actions, using Lean processes, procedures, and problem-solving tools.
  • Assist/Lead Quickly Identifying and Repairing UPS, Electrical Distribution and Switchgear, Chilled Water, Hot Water & Steam Boiler, Compressed Dry Air, Environmental Control, RO & DI Water, Exhaust, Acid Waste Neutralization,
  • Gas & Chemical Distribution, and Building Automation Systems.
  • Develop and implement efficiency improvements for Facilities Equipment, Processes, Cost, Reliability, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Oversee plans, budgets and schedules equipment layout, modifications, installations, and de-installations.
  • Serve as a key player in planning to support continuous growth and efficient site operation.
  • Monitor, Support/Assist & Perform Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Tasks.
  • Drive cost reduction efforts to help achieve cost management and savings goals while promoting a safe work environment for all employees.
  • Document and Present Project Plans along with Daily and Weekly Activities.
  • Ensure all processes and systems are compliant with regulations.
  • Manage vendor contracts to achieve results, when needed.
  • Support Construction Projects & Leading Project Teams.
  • Support Equipment Installations and Modifications.

In addition to your new role, during construction activities, you will:

  • Act as liaison between architects, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, inspectors, owner's representative(s) and SkyWater in resolving issues related to plans, specifications and field constraints or discrepancies to coordinate project activities with manufacturing activities.
  • Attend and participate in all meetings with General Contractor, Owner’s representative(s), subcontractors, and/or A/E representatives to coordinate our design and construction efforts.
  • Communicate, develop, and coordinate schedules for production interruptions for project requirements.
  • Monitor contract obligations with a goal of building relationships with contractors and vendors.
  • Lead, train, and mentor technicians on facilities equipment.
  • Create specifications, drive continuous improvement projects and learn systems outside of your expertise.
  • Ensure construction activities do not interrupt on-going manufacturing activities. This would require properly organized, scheduled, and site management-approved site work activities.
  • Ensure systems meet standards required by SkyWater.
  • Lead internal communication updates to site/company leadership team
  • Help drive solutions for the master schedule, production requirements and strategies, to ensure timely completion of objectives.
  • Attend and participate in subcontractor trade coordination meetings, look ahead planning meetings and submittal review meetings.
  • Lead the process to maintain up-to-date production communications and site logistics plans.
  • Communicate information on changes in the work (change orders, etc.).
  • Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Have one or more of the following:
    • BS in Engineering of Related Field.
    • 8 or more years of Experience in Industrial Facilities/Plant Maintenance.
    • AAS in Engineering of Related Field, with 4 or more years of Experience in Industrial Facilities/Plant Maintenance.
  • Have demonstrated knowledge of preventive, corrective & predictive maintenance of semiconductor Plant systems:
    • Reverse Osmosis, Deionized Water, Chilled Water, Building Automation, Makeup Air, Air Handling, Roof Top Units, Hot Water and Low-Pressure Steam Boilers, Acid Waste Neutralization, Chemical Distribution, Gas Distribution, Fume Scrubbers, General Exhaust, Vacuum & Compressed Dry Air Systems.
  • Have demonstrated ability to meet commitments and deliver results, while being able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Have demonstrated ability to manage, execute and track multiple projects simultaneously and shift priorities to meet business needs.
  • Have experience with application of structured problem-solving methodology.
  • Lifting and moving processing equipment, applicable tools, office equipment, and some chemical drums. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours, a minimum of 5 days/week. Performing a variety of long-distance walking, stair/ladder climbing, standing, sitting & data entry. Wearing complete fab attire for full shift. Meeting all safety and cleanroom requirements. Wearing proper personal protective equipment for work with hazardous chemicals, gasses and hot/cold outdoor environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have related military experience. (Is a plus)
  • Have experience in semiconductor fab facilities project management. (Is a plus)
  • Have a certification or license in a related field. (Is a plus)
  • Have demonstrated knowledge of equipment KPIs such as Availability, MTBF, MTTR, etc. (Is a plus)
