We are seeking an Member of Technical Staff (MTS) to provide expertise in radiation hardness for both internal development teams and external customers at SkyWater Technology. The ideal candidate will specialize in both Rad-Hard By Process (RHBP) and Rad-Hard By Design (RHBD) techniques and will be instrumental in guiding and developing radiation-hardened technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for radiation environments, testing, and Rad-Hard techniques for SkyWater Technology's internal teams and external clients.
  • Provide senior-level expertise, guidance, and mentorship on the effects of radiation on semiconductor devices.
  • Design and architect IP, solutions, and technologies for use in radiated environments.
  • Oversee and conduct radiation test campaigns to validate technologies, IP, and circuits in radiated environments.
  • Lead SkyWater in the implementation and trade-offs of RHBP and RHBD techniques.
  • Master the QML process and possess knowledge and experience in PRF38535

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics or a related discipline.
  • Profound expertise in radiation environments and testing (e.g., TID, SEE, proton, etc.), failure mechanisms, and mitigation strategies.
  • Skilled in specifying, executing, and analyzing radiation test campaigns.
  • At least 10 years of direct experience in Rad-Hard By Process (RHBP) and Rad-Hard By Design (RHBD) techniques.
  • Experience in specifying and architecting test chips for Radiation testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: PhD in in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Prior experience in device-level modeling of radiation effects and device reliability.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing processes and the ability to navigate the complexities of new technology development.
  • Commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements in the field of radiation-hardened technologies.
