Library Associate - Customer Connect Department

The Customer Connect Department is seeking a part-time Library Associate to perform a variety of circulation and reference duties over the phone to meet the needs of Library customers.

We have transformed into a meaningful community resource with updated facilities and an array of programs and partnerships that serve over 860,000 patrons.

Salary: $17.52

Hours:  

Monday: 8:45 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.

Tuesday: 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Saturday: 8:45 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Sunday: 12:45 p.m. -5:00 p.m.

Essential Responsibilities:

1.  Answers and routes numerous phone calls quickly and accurately so that the Library runs smoothly and efficiently. 

2.  Interviews customers to assess their needs in order to provide appropriate assistance or information. 

3.  Performs Circulation duties to establish and maintain accurate customer records. 

4.  Reserves Meeting Rooms and registers customers for all Library events and computer classes.

5. Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Must possess excellent communication and organization skills
• Must possess a commitment to a high level of public service to Library customers and staff
