The Supply Chain Specialist will provide procurement expertise to ensure we purchase products at the right price and quantities to meet our customers’ needs.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop strong relationships with key suppliers
  • Execute accurate purchase orders
  • Source requested products
  • Follow up with vendors and the sales team to confirm delivery, specifications, and pricing
  • Work with accounts payable to ensure timely bill payment to vendors
  • Enhance profit margins
  • Evaluate inbound freight expenses
  • Perform tracking and expediting of product shipments
  • Research and address order variances
  • Negotiate payment terms
  • Analyze sales trends to ensure stocking levels are adequate
  • Help eliminate dead and obsolete inventory
  • Report to leadership on new opportunities and challenges

 

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's or associate degree preferred, degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field
  • Five or more years of experience in a similar role and industry
  • Ability to foster and manage relationships internally and externally
  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Systematic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel and Outlook
