• Minimum of high school diploma or GED required
• Experience in substance abuse or mental health field preferred
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must display the use appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies
• Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with clients, staff and regulatory agencies

The Driver is responsible for:

• Drives agency vehicles to meet program needs
• Transport clients to assigned treatment facilities for interviews, medical appointments, and other program/client related issues
• Demonstrates respect for supervisors, co-workers, and clients
• Works with the Facility Coordinator regarding preventive maintenance for Campus vehicles
• Conducts daily safety checks and appropriate documentation before driving Campus vehicles
• Demonstrates the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities and complete duties in the allotted time
• Responds to all life safety maintenance issues in a timely fashion
• Follows all organizational and regulatory guidelines regarding the use of agency vehicles and transporting clients
• Demonstrates honesty and integrity at all times in the care of the clients and the use of the facility property
• Consistently arrives for work on time and adheres to the program’s attendance policies
• Strictly adheres to HIPAA and confidentiality policies when responding to inquiries for client information or copies of information
• Maintains adequate knowledge of the program’s emergency preparedness plan and emergency procedures
• Completes all required mandatory training
• Performs other duties as assigned
