BASIS Independent Bellevue is seeking a dynamic and organized Community Relations and Events Coordinator. This role is pivotal in managing community interactions and orchestrating school events, with a focus on ensuring smooth traffic management, effective communication, and seamless event execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Traffic Management: Support successful arrival and dismissal processes.  Communicate expectations and monitor adherence to expectations for respectful community engagement, ensuring safety and efficiency for students, parents, and staff.
  • Event Planning and Coordination: Plan, organize, and execute events such as, but not limited to, neighborhood meet-n-greets, conversations with Administration, and school celebrations. This involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing event logistics, and ensuring successful event delivery.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between the school and the broader community. This includes managing inquiries, providing timely updates, and ensuring clear communication channels are maintained.
  • Conflict Resolution: Utilize strong conflict resolution skills to address and resolve any issues that arise during events or community interactions, maintaining a positive and collaborative environment.
  • Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with the local community, parents, and school staff to support school initiatives and promote a positive image of BASIS Independent Bellevue.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Communications, Event Management, Education, etc.).
  • Proven experience in event planning, community relations, or a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle conflict with professionalism.
  • Experience in a school setting is a plus.
