Staff Accountant - Sunroad Auto Shared Services Inc.

Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting the Business Manager in overseeing the operations of the dealerships.

 Responsibilities:

- Post daily banking

- Reconcile floor plan statements

- Process flooring payoffs

- Monitor factory receivable schedules (incentives, holdback, warranty, etc.) and assist with follow up

- Post and reconcile dealer reserves

- Unclaimed property

- Process product cancellation checks

- Remit extended warranty payments

- Prepare statistical data for financial statements

- Backfill positions for vacations, sick leave, etc.

- Other duties as assigned

 Qualifications:

- 3 years of automotive accounting experience.

- Well-rounded experience in an automotive accounting office

- CDK experience strongly preferred

- Experience working in a high-volume environment 

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
 
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.

- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.

- Ability to correctly prepare tax reports.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
 
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
