Job Summary:
The Parts Runner is responsible for the efficient and accurate delivery and pickup of automotive parts within the organization, such as service departments and parts departments. This role is crucial for ensuring that technicians and service staff have the parts they need in a timely manner.
Essential Functions:
- Deliver automotive parts, tools, and supplies to service technicians and service departments.
- Help with managing inventory by transporting parts to and from storage areas.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining an orderly inventory system.
- Provide courteous and efficient service to technicians and other staff by ensuring accurate and timely delivery of parts.
- Address and resolve any issues or questions related to parts delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and inventory movements.
- Ensure all paperwork, including delivery logs and parts receipts, is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Operate and maintain the company forklift used for deliveries, ensuring it is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition.
- Report any forklift issues or maintenance needs to management.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols while handling and delivering parts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain satisfactory attendance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Forklift certification.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an automotive parts department or similar role.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good understanding of automotive parts and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly stands, walks, sits; uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; talks and hears. Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls; lifts up to 50 pounds.
Environment/Noise:
- Noise level is moderate.
- Involves working in a warehouse or parts department environment.
- May require exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) like gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots may be required to ensure safety while handling parts and equipment.
