Job Summary:

The Dealership Insurance Sales Professional is responsible for selling insurance products and services to customers purchasing vehicles. This role involves understanding customer needs, presenting suitable insurance solutions, and ensuring a seamless integration of insurance products into the vehicle sales process.


Essential Functions:

  • Identify, qualify, and develop personal insurance opportunities with new and existing clients in person, online, by phone, and through written communication.
  • Foster and maintain excellent relationships with clients and prospects through regular follow-up, accurate and timely quotes, and general account support. Anticipate, respond to, and follow up on all existing client needs.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and process policy changes if needed.
  • Actively prospect and solicit increases in existing client coverage as well as network for new clients, including win backs.
  • Achieve Call Volume goals daily.
  • Achieve sales goals through generating new business and cross-selling existing customers.
  • Identify and qualify sales leads generated from a variety of sources.
  • Help protect customers by offering products that meet their needs.
  • Educate prospective customers on how to protect their families and assets.
  • Build agency reputation and growth through positive customer interactions.
  • Review eAgent and Lead Manager daily for calendar, tasks, to-dos, live leads, unsold quotes, and assigned leads.
  • Obtain best coverage/rate for clients, process quotes, and bind insurance coverage; follow up as necessary with inspection, photos, and other documentation. Present policies to insured and educate them on coverages and rates.
  • Support and prepare clients for renewal and retention and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Provide a positive customer experience.
  • Monitor, review, and report on key metrics to ensure sales targets are achieved, and execute sales activity documentation in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with team members, provide expertise, answer questions, and participate in formal and informal meetings as needed.
  • Maintain CE and participate in ongoing education and keep informed regarding industry information, new product information, Allstate underwriting updates, rate changes, legislation, coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
  • Log into Phone/Queue when you arrive and Log Out when you leave for the day, updating your status on breaks or lunch.
  • Check Email every day when you get in, and throughout the day.
  • Respond to client or manager requests by the end of each business day, unless otherwise specified.
  • Work X-Dates and To-Dos Daily in eAgent.
  • Maintain satisfactory attendance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two years of related experience.
  • Strong sales experience
  • Extensive knowledge of various insurance products and policies.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid insurance license.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to determine best insurance policy for individual clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal and sales skills.
  • Ability to identify and contact prospective clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Bilingual Spanish.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Regularly stands, walks, sits; uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; talks and hears. Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls; lifts up to 15 pounds.

  • Noise level is moderate.
