Job Summary: 

A licensed insurance account manager plays a crucial role in ensuring clients receive optimal insurance coverage and services tailored to their needs. By maintaining strong client relationships, providing expert advice, and staying compliant with regulations, you contribute to the overall success and satisfaction of both clients and the insurance agency.

Essential Functions:

  • Foster and maintain excellent relationships with clients and prospects through regular follow-up, accurate and timely processing of endorsements, and general account support. Anticipate, respond to, and follow up on all existing client needs.
  • Return calls and emails in a timely manner – preferably by the end of the business day.
  • Document all client interactions in eAgent, as well as Performology as requested.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and process policy changes as needed.
  • Actively prospect and solicit increases in existing client coverage.
  • Achieve sales goals through generating new business and cross-selling existing customers.
  • Achieve Call Volume goals daily.
  • Review eAgent daily for calendar, tasks, to-dos.
  • Review My Work Items as directed by management.
  • Follow up on all claims reported, contacting the client when claim is opened, and when claim is closed. Resolve claim issues as they arise.
  • Obtain best coverage/rate for clients, process quotes, and bind insurance coverage if necessary; follow up as necessary with inspection, photos, and other documentation. Present policies to insured and educate them on coverages and rates.
  • Support and prepare clients for renewal and retention and maintain strong client relationships. Including working the Cancellation and Renewal Audits as assigned.
  • Provide a positive customer experience.
  • Collaborate with team members, provide expertise, answer questions, and participate in formal and informal meetings as needed.
  • Maintain CE and participate in ongoing education and keep informed regarding industry information, new product information, Allstate underwriting updates, rate changes, legislation, coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
  • Log into Phone/Queue when you arrive and Log Out when you leave for the day, updating your status on breaks or lunch.
  • Check Email every day when you get in, and throughout the day.
  • Respond to client or manager requests by the end of each business day, unless otherwise specified.
  • Maintain satisfactory attendance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Two years of related experience.
  • Strong sales experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid insurance license.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of various insurance products and policies.
  • Ability to determine the best insurance policy for individual clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal and sales skills.
  • Ability to identify and contact prospective clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Regularly stands, walks, sits; uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; talks and hears. Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls; lifts up to 15 pounds.

  • Noise level is moderate.
