Sales Client Advisor - BMW of El Cajon

Job Summary:

The Salesperson is responsible for engaging with customers to understand their needs and preferences, presenting vehicle options, and guiding them through the buying process. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, meeting sales targets, and ensuring a positive buying experience from start to finish.

Essential Functions:

  • Greet and assist customers who visit the dealership, providing a welcoming and professional atmosphere.

Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand customer requirements and preferences.Present and demonstrate vehicles, highlighting features, benefits, and pricing to match customer needs.Guide customers through the entire sales process, including vehicle selection, financing options, and closing the sale.Prepare and present sales proposals, including detailed quotes and trade-in evaluations.Negotiate terms and finalize agreements in alignment with dealership policies and customer satisfaction.Maintain in-depth knowledge of the dealership’s vehicle inventory, including specifications, features, and benefits.Stay informed about the latest industry trends, new model releases, and competitive products.Provide accurate information and advice to customers on vehicle features, pricing, and financing options.Address and resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and address any additional needs or issues.Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals and targets.Track and report on sales performance, including leads, sales conversions, and customer feedback.Participate in sales meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and performance.Process sales paperwork, including contracts, vehicle registrations, and financing applications.Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in the dealership’s CRM system.Coordinate with the finance department to ensure smooth processing of transactions and approvals.Represent the dealership in a positive and professional manner at all times.Participate in dealership events, promotions, and community activities to promote the dealership and its offerings.Adhere to dealership policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sales activities.Maintain satisfactory attendance. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid state sales license.
  • Valid Driver’s license and safe driving record; required to have California within 30 days.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in automotive sales or a similar customer-facing role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and persuade customers.
  • Strong understanding of automotive products, sales processes, and financing options.
  • Proficient in using CRM systems, dealership software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and goals.

Physical Demands: 

  • Regularly stands, walks, sits; uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; talks and hears. Occasionally climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls; lifts up to 15 pounds.
