The Job

Auldern Academy is seeking talented individuals to help drive the success of youth in our communities. As a Youth Night Worker you will provide direct supervision to adolescent females ages 14 -18. You will serve as a role model and provide support & structure to the residents in our care.  This is a full-time position, with benefits, for weekend overnights.  Hours are F, S, S – 10:30pm-8:30am.

Snapshot of Nightly Duties

• Provide safety during student sleeping hours and assist students having trouble sleeping.
• Perform room checks, ensuring each student is in their own bed and sleeping.
• Maintain routine order on dorm unit and ensure the residents get ready in the morning.
• Provide notes for the day-time staff regarding matters that occurred overnight.

 The Must Haves

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required
• Over the age of 21
• Maturity, empathy and patience
• Be special – Not everyone can do what we do
• The ideal candidate must have the ability to adjust to
       a fast-paced environment and follow proper protocols

Auldern Academy is part of the Sequel Youth and Family Services group and is an accredited college preparatory, therapeutic boarding school for girls grades 9-12. We provide a traditional academic environment along with group, individual, and family counseling services. We utilize aspects of Positive Peer Culture and the relational approach to treatment planning; engaging the student and her family members as genuine partners to motivate the change process in our students and families.  We provide students with a structured daily environment that includes chores, a full academic day, therapy sessions, recreational activities, and life skills.
