Therapeutic Associates, Inc. Physical Therapy - Providence St. Joseph's Acute Rehabilitation Center- is seeking an Acute Rehabilitation Therapy Supervisor to join our team!

Our team is looking for someone who is a licensed Physical or Occupational Therapist to provide direct patient care, as well as clinical and administrative oversight including support for hiring, new hire orientation and onboarding, training, and supervising the day-to-day activities of the therapy Team.

This position is also responsible for facilitating collaborative communication between the team and the Acute Rehab Medical Director as well as Nursing leadership promoting excellent patient care, patient experience and satisfaction, and employee experience.


Therapeutic Associates, Inc. has maintained a contract with St. Joseph’s Medical Center since 1954, within the inpatient and outpatient settings. We serve patients ranging from newborns to older adulthood. Our patients span from NICU, orthopedic, neurological, oncology, bariatric, and ICU early mobility. We are an advanced primary stroke center! Acute rehabilitation is primarily neurological, with some post ICU patients and complex orthopedics

Our facility is separated into 4 areas, including inpatient, outpatient, acute rehab, and lymphedema/oncology rehab – each offering their own unique perks. Our inpatient hospital offers bedside treatment and in two different PT gyms. The acute rehab area has a separate floor with a PT/OT gym. The oncology rehab area is a separate clinic with lymphedema rooms, a gym, and a beautiful restorative garden. Finally, the outpatient clinic has multiple treatment rooms, a hands area, and a gym used in the treatment of patients. We are proud to have a newly constructed Outpatient clinic on the Hospital campus where we provide state of the art care and specialty services in hand therapy, oncology, head and neck lymphedema, orthopedic, sports medicine, pelvic health for men and women, balance, Parkinson’s disease, torticollis, and more!  Therapeutic Associates, Inc.  prides ourselves on our one-on-one patient care and strong relationships with referral sources. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs patient care maintaining a productivity standard of an average of 12 units of service in an 8-hour shift.
  • Schedules PT, PTA and OT staff based on patient volumes with focus on balancing labor and patient volumes.
  • Coordinates with Acute Care Supervisor and Clinical Charge daily or more often to ensure appropriate staffing and sharing of personnel between departments.
  • Maintains department policies and procedures, Medicare regulations and CARF standards.
  • Monitors metrics to ensure optimal performance and support through quality measures and operational metrics.    
  • Oversees department documentation and accounts for required documentation for billing processes, patient care processes, and insurance/reimbursement requirements.
  • Performs quarterly one-on-one meetings and annual performance reviews of PT, OT, PTA and Aide staff. 
  • Supports the hiring process for Acute Rehab Therapy staff, including interviews, new hire orientation and onboarding, initial training and mentorship. 
  • Leads regular meetings for rehab staff with focus on optimizing patient care/experience and employee experience. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Master’s or Doctorate Preferred; Bachelor’s degree as Physical Therapist (PT) or Occupational Therapist (OT) from an institution accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy Education
  • Current License by the Board of Physical Therapy or Board of Occupational Therapy of CA
  • Minimum Two (2) years of relevant experience (PT or OT) in an Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Unit
