Overview:

 

Exciting opportunity for early career or seasoned customer service professionals. This role will be fully remote. We have an experienced management team who will design a detailed roadmap to maximize your learning and career growth opportunities.

 

In this role, you will build master-level customer service skills, learn the complexities of financial wealth planning, while directly interacting with brokers and individual contract holders. Customer service is paramount while you address 50 to 60 calls a day in a very rigorous and supportive environment.  Your performance will be measured based on a few key performance indicators which will drive your further growth in the company and position you for opportunities to learn other processes and call types.

 

  • $40,000 to $42,000 base pay first year (this role is non-exempt, paid on an hourly basis)
  • First year-only milestones tied to performance: 6 month ~$1,000 & 12 months ~$1,000
  • 19-PTO accrued days, prorated for current year 
  • Eligible for the Annual Incentive Plan Bonus: 5% of base pay
  • 6 weeks best in class, professional training – full attendance required
  • 401(K) Company match up to 6% 
  • 2% Profit Sharing opportunity – Talcott contributes to 401(k)

  • $5k+ Tuition Reimbursement annually
  • $500-$1,000 – company contribution annually toward HSA

 

Attendance is mandatory during your 6 week training period. 

  • Training Hours: Monday - Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET, and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET
  • Position hours following 6 week training period: Monday - Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET, and Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide professional, positive service experiences to our customers, including contract owners and financial advisors, as a cross-functional Service Specialist through the education of Talcott Resolution’s annuity products and processes, as well as executing customer requests. Provide superior customer service by handling inbound customer calls as well as processing written requests.

Utilize active listening and critical thinking skills to quickly analyze and clearly understand customers’ requests then leverage the online resources to provide the appropriate solution. You start your career immersed in a six week, interactive training program with coaching and development to ensure your success.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1+ years of customer service, using multiple applications, and dual monitors
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to develop and enhance strong impactful customer relationships
  • Multi-tasking (type and talk at the same time while navigating through multiple screens); proven success working in a fast-paced and structured environment
  • Ability to navigate multiple programs and effectively use online resources
  • Preferred prior experience or knowledge of annuities, 401k’s, life insurance, mutual funds or stock market activity
  • Securities Industries Essentials (SIE) certification or Series 6 FINRA license credentials preferred. For non-licensed, non-SIE candidates, we ask that you have the desire and drive to obtain your SIE and Series 6 in the near future.

Compensation

The annualized base pay range is mainly based on an evaluation of comparable positions in the external market. The actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range. The base pay is based on factors including but not limited to experience, competence and demonstration of proficiencies essential for the role. The base pay is just one component of Talcott’s total annual compensation for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$40,000 - $42,000
