Recently Graduate From College and Looking for A Manager Role?

As a Leader in Training, you will embark on an immersive journey through each department at The Budd Group. From hands-on work with frontline employees to administrative duties and strategic sales and operations tasks, you'll experience every facet of our business. Each quarter, you'll be assigned specific learning objectives with measurable outcomes, ensuring your growth and success. By the end of the program, our goal is to place you in a position that aligns with your strengths and career aspirations.

What You'll Learn:

  • Hands-On Experience: Engage in janitorial, landscaping, and specialty services, including sweeping, mopping, bathroom cleaning, trash removal, lawn mowing, mulching, pruning, planting, pressure washing, painting, and construction clean-up.
  • Equipment Operation: Master the use of various equipment essential for frontline tasks.
  • Management Training: Learn scheduling, timesheet review, job tracking, crew management, and other key management functions.
  • Quality Audits: Conduct thorough inspections to ensure work meets our high standards.
  • Accounting Insight: Gain knowledge in accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and budget management.
  • Sales Development: Hone your sales skills through prospecting, cold calling, proposal creation, and presentations.
  • HR Proficiency: Participate in interviewing, sending offer letters, background checks, drug tests, onboarding, and coaching/counseling.
  • Retention Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee retention and engagement.
  • Community Engagement: Attend job fairs and collaborate with community partners to source candidates.
  • Training Documentation: Maintain detailed records of your training progress in our learning management system.

Requirements:

  • Recent college graduate (up to one-year post-graduation)
  • Commitment to a one-year program
  • Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks in both indoor and outdoor settings
  • Flexibility to work evenings and some weekends as needed
