Title: Landscape Crew Member / Utility Tech 

Pay Rate: $15 - $18

Hours and Days: Monday - Friday; 7:30am-4:30pm

Location: Salisbury, NC 

Lifting Restrictions: Must be able to lift 35 lbs. repetitively. 

Experience Required: 1-3 years

We are currently seeking a dedicated and versatile individual to join our team as a Landscaping Crew Member / Utility Technician, with additional responsibilities for event setup and breakdown.

Job Summary:The Landscaping Crew Member / Utility Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of landscaping tasks, assisting with utility maintenance and repair services, and supporting event setup and breakdown. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Landscaping Duties:

• Perform general landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning.
• Plant flowers, shrubs, and trees; install sod and seed lawns.
• Maintain garden beds, including weeding, mulching, and fertilizing.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other tools.
• Assist with landscape design and layout based on customer specifications.
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety

Utility Technician Duties:

• Assist in the setup and breakdown of events, including the arrangement of tables, chairs, tents, stages, lighting, and audio-visual equipment.
• Ensure all equipment is properly installed, functioning, and safely secured.
• Coordinate with event organizers to meet specific setup requirements and timelines.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area during and after events.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the setup, event, or breakdown process.
• Assist with the transportation of equipment and materials to and from event sites.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in landscaping, utility maintenance, or event setup preferred.
• Basic knowledge of utility systems and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to operate and maintain landscaping and utility equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
