Janitorial Manager Trainee

Position Summary: The Manager Trainee will be training under their direct manager supporting customer needs, account retention and strong employee relations.  During training, specific responsibilities include custodial facility services, scheduling account personnel, conducting site evaluations/audits, monitoring overall inventory/equipment usage, troubleshooting/ problem solving, orientation/training of new hires, safety compliance, and special project work as requested. 

Position Responsibilities: 

• Ensures that service delivery is consistent with the Scope of Work and the highest quality of standards within our organization.

• Maintains employee personnel records for administrative compliance.

• Plans, organizes, coordinates, executes and conducts and/or supervises functions of janitorial operations on all shifts as directed by your Manager.

• Ensures that environmental and company policies and  procedures are being maintained in accordance with CIMS, Local, State, and Federal requirements.

• Commitment to client satisfaction and quality standards. 

• Ability to take on the leadership role in client communication regarding programs and services as well as performance under the contract. 

• Provide feedback to management as needed on unique client requirements and opportunities to expand client relationships.

• Ability to coach, motive, develop, and lead a team.  

• Train on Budd Standards for: cleaning offices, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other areas.

• Train on Budd Standards for: Replenishing paper and soap products in bathrooms, cleaning mirrors, walls, showers, sinks, metal work and toilets.

• Train on Budd Standards for: Safely emptying wastebaskets, and transporting trash and waste to the disposal area.

• Train on Budd Standards for: Sweeping, moping, vacuuming and/or refinishing floors.

• Operates various types of equipment and machinery, including wet vacuums, vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors, automatic scrubbers, floor buffers, propane buffer, and super stripper

• Knowledge of human resource policies and practices, including development of staffing plans and job descriptions, employee relations, training, safety, benefit administration and succession planning. 

• Hands on training experience related to proper restroom cleaning techniques, floor sweeping & mopping, and operation of commercial floor scrubbing equipment (automatic scrubbers, buffing equipment, low speed floor machines)

• Training on time studies related to cleaning and how to price and staff new jobs based on findings.

• Safety training, proper use of PPE

• Disinfection training.  How to properly apply disinfectant, dwell times for different solutions.

• Application of anti-microbial barrier technology solutions and utilization of proper PPE for disinfection applications.

• Pricing and staffing recommendations for disinfection service based on time studies and site tours.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Pursuit of:  BA/BS degree

• Proficient in Microsoft and/or Google Suite modules

• Proficient with iOS and/or Android technology
