Primary Job Function:

Full accountability and ownership of the success of the fresh processing operation. Leads production team to meet or exceed all employee safety, food safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals and objectives. Plant objectives will increase to successfully grow business.



What you’ll do: 

- Demonstrate positive leadership behaviors focused on process ownership, team engagement, problem solving, training and developing team members, meeting goals, and continuous improvement. 

- Develop continuous improvement solutions to reduce total cost as reflected in Cost/LBS and LBS/Labor Hour performance metrics. 

- Provides clear, specific and comprehensive communication to senior plant and company leadership. - Successfully launch new business program as required. 

- Share information, communicate effectively, and train employees in all aspects plant operations. - Supervise production activities for processing department and establishes priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors. 

- Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate problems and improve production efficiency and quality. 

- Monitors production performance to ensure scheduling, production, quality and safety standards are met. - Accountable for reducing labor costs including overtime costs; maintenance costs, downtime, and product re-work. - Provides new employee training (floor associates) from start to finish with the use of cutting tools, proper PPE, quality orientation, safe work practices etc. 

- Lead and facilitate in the training of leads and team members to ensure processes are efficient and effective. - Ensures packaging supplies, anti-browning agent, sanitizing chemicals; etc. are utilized and inventoried daily. - Ensures equipment is in working order and establishes a schedule for routine maintenance working through Maintenance Team and Operations Manager; 

- Ensures compliance to quality, food safety, GMP’s, SQF and HAACP support programs assuring conformity to all company, customer and government standards; 

- Responsible for adjusting time punches in time for payroll submission; 

- Responsible for other duties as assigned;



About You: 

- Minimum 3yrs. experience with food processing and supervisory experience; 

- Working knowledge of OSHA, SQF and HAACP practices; 

- Leadership and the ability to motivate with an enthusiastic teamwork approach to get results through others; - Must possess problem-solving skills and the ability to direct team and implement solutions; 

- Quality orientation and attention to detail; 

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal; 

- Must possess sense of teamwork and efficiency; 

Preferred 

- Bilingual
