Job Summary

The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for performing HR-related duties. Works closely with HR team members in supporting designated human resource functions.  

 

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Submits reports for Ohio Primary Care Workforce Initiative (OPCWI) on a quarterly basis
  • Works with personnel from other departments within the organization to prepare and submit reports for the ADAMHS Board twice a year and possibly on a case-by-case basis
  • Submits reports to the Ohio Association of Community Health Care Centers (OACHC) upon request
  • Meets deadlines when submitting reports, and other reports upon request
  • Acts as a point of contact for HRSA Health Workforce to verify Providers’ employment verification
  • Assist with special projects for the department’s credentialing process
  • Assists with new hires’ first day at The Centers twice a month
  • Helps manage The Centers’ learning management system called Relias
  • Gathers student demographic and student evaluations from interns to prepare reports for OPCWI
  • Manages employee records (storing inactive files and creating new employee files (electronically)
  • Works with HR Team on special projects (recruitment and retention) for The Centers
  • Gathers personnel records from other departments or employees
  • Examines Dayforce or employee files to answer inquiries and provide information (employment verifications)
  • Search employee files or Dayforce to obtain information for authorized persons and organizations, such as credit bureaus and finance companies upon request
  • Process invoices for the HR Department by adding department information to ensure accuracy and timely payment to vendors

 

Other Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acts as back-up for The Centers’ Administrative Office’s Administrative Assistant by answering telephones, greeting visitors, and preparing ID badges and keycards
  • Other related duties as assigned

Knowledge

  • Administrative— Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and workplace terminology.
  • Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.  This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; or demonstrated relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
