Store Planning Planogram Assistant

 

Employment Type: Temporary Full Time

Supervisor: Store Planning Manager

Location: Dubuque Corporate Office

 

Job Description

Will be responsible for coordinating numerous merchandising efforts within our stores to ensure consistent shopping appearance and experience is being achieved. This will require occasional travel to all store locations, resets, new builds, training seminars and shows. Overnight travel will be required and long hours will be necessary at times. Travel to stores will usually not exceed 25% on average.

Qualifications

  • Education: Marketing or Business related 2 year degree preferred
  • Experience: 2 years retail experience with management background preferred but not required

  • New Store Sets & Resets- This individual would assist the SP Project Coordinator as necessary during major resets.
  • Store Blueprint Database Information & Maintenance. This individual would maintain the field information and work with the store planning office coordinator to maintain correct store blueprints.
  • Planogram Creation
  • Planogram Implementation & Updates
  • Pricing & Signage Compliance
  • Sales Analysis of each store within their region; as well as company analysis for comparison

  • High degree of knowledge in regards to Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point. 
  • Must learn to be highly sufficient with the AS400 program and Blue Beam (Layout software). 
  • Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD blueprints and planogram schematics. 
  • High level of communication skills in oral, written and diagram form.
  • Ability to construct clear directions that are easy to understand and execute. 
  • High level of organizational skills. 
  • Must be able to multi task and prioritize.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Strong comprehension of retail financial metrics and the end-to-end merchandising process.

Physical Demands

Frequent physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, dexterity, and light grasping.   Occasional physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, squatting, climbing stairs and firmly grasping.  The employee is required to accept incoming calls and must be able to hear and speak.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision adequate for the incumbent to perform the responsibilities and functions of the job efficiently.  The associate must have the manual dexterity to manually operate and use a computer and other basic office equipment.

 

Work Environment and Working Conditions

This position will be performed inside a climate-controlled office facility.  The noise level is low to medium and typical of an office environment.  Potential hazards include electrical hazards.  Atmospheric conditions are typical of an office environment and may include exposure to odors and dust.

Hours of Operation:
   
Corporate Office (Core Hours) - 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Mon-Fri.

 Distribution Center - 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM (1st Shift) and 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM (2nd Shift). 

Store Locations - Vary by location, but can range from 8:00 AM-8:00 PM Mon-Sat and 9:00 AM-6:00 PM Sun.
