Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to members through various channels, ensuring prompt and personalized assistance with membership inquiries.
  • Membership Engagement: Effectively communicate the unique benefits of club membership to prospective and new members, showcasing the value they'll experience at Multnomah Athletic Club.
  • Efficient Operations: Oversee seamless processing of membership applications, status changes, and financial transactions, maintaining accuracy and timeliness at every step.
  • Team Empowerment: Guide and support membership specialists, empowering them to excel in their roles and contribute to the club's overall success.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the Membership Manager to implement best practices, uphold quality standards, and drive ongoing improvements in membership processes.
  • Committee Collaboration: Serve as a liaison to assigned committees, providing expertise and support to advance board initiatives and special projects.
  • Safety Focus: Maintain a commitment to safety by enforcing club policies and procedures, identifying, and reporting any hazards or unsafe conditions, and participating in the Safety Training Program.
  • Supervisory Duties: Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day activities of membership specialists, providing guidance, assigning tasks, and ensuring alignment with club standards and goals.
  • Engagement Initiatives: Lead weekly tours for new and prospective members, facilitate engagement with applicants through regular check-ins, and contribute to organizing monthly new member happy hours to foster connection and orientation.
  • Operational Support: Act as a point of contact for day-to-day operations, offering expertise, support, and guidance to ensure the success of the membership team.
  • Performance Guidance: Provide ongoing feedback to the Membership Manager on team members' performance to address conflicts, challenges, and service issues, as well as contribute to the hiring process.
  • HR Compliance: Support the Membership Manager in ensuring compliance with club Human Resources policies and procedures, including training, orientation, and ongoing development needs.
  • Adaptable Support: Perform additional duties as assigned by the Membership Manager, ensuring flexibility and readiness to contribute across various club initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with a minimum of two years of proven experience in supervising administrative personnel and fostering team development.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Technological Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and quick to adapt to new software applications.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends to meet the needs of our dynamic club environment.
