Position Overview:

As a Catering Banquet Captain, you'll ensure the flawless execution of events, providing top-notch service in a courteous, timely, and efficient manner. You will lead our service staff, uphold our high standards, and work closely with the Catering Manager to coach and mentor the team. Your role is pivotal in creating memorable experiences and fostering repeat business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Event Execution: Ensure exceptional execution of all catering functions, from setup to service and breakdown.
• Leadership: Supervise and coordinate service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
• Client Interaction: Greet and communicate with clients throughout events to meet or exceed their expectations.
• Quality Control: Inspect event areas, table settings, and equipment for cleanliness and proper setup.
• Problem Solving: Anticipate and resolve issues quickly and efficiently to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Policy Enforcement: Consistently enforce club policies and procedures fairly and effectively.
• Communication: Maintain regular communication with the sales team and provide detailed reports on events.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 2-5 years in catering, with a solid understanding of food and beverage service. Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to use kitchen equipment.
• Attitude: Positive, calm, and professional demeanor with the ability to stay composed under pressure.
• Flexibility: Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, including Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, and our Annual Meeting.
