 The #1 Priority of this position is… 

Coordinate menu planning, food purchasing, storage, preparation, and service of meals to conserve nutritive value, flavor, appearance, and quality.

Supervise employees engaged in food service in the facility. Maintain cleanliness of food service areas and equipment. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

• Assign and coordinate the work of Food Service personnel.
• Supervise the receiving, storage and distribution of food and supplies.
• Develop and direct implementation of work standards, sanitation procedures, and personal hygiene requirements consistent with County, State and Federal regulations.
• Develop departmental budget, maintain control of food and labor costs and inventory control system

Qualifications 

• Three years supervisory experience in long term care food service setting.
• Certificate of Completion of Dietary Manager Program.
• Experience in banquet style cooking and management capabilities.
• Familiar with local, State and Federal regulations.
• Must be able to operate food service equipment.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English. Spanish preferred

• Responsible, punctual, resourceful, very accurate and detail oriented.
• Flexible as to work schedule. Must be available to work on weekends, holidays, and in emergency situations.
• Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task. 
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently AND as a team member.
• Exhibit an enthusiastic and friendly personality that has aptitude for working with a  variety of people
