POSITION SUMMARY:
The Construction Manager (CM) is responsible for planning, coordinating and controlling civil and tower construction and other related projects from inception to completion. The CM is responsible for ensuring that the client’s requirements of functionality and standards are met. The CM is also responsible for ensuring that that the construction project is concluded successfully, and the work meets or exceeds the client, industry and company standards. In addition, when required, the CM will give training and direction to crews which will help them perform their job safer and/or more efficiently. The CM will also ensure, when on site, that the crews are following company, client and industry safety standards and are correctly completing all paperwork.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be knowledgeable (experience & proficiency preferred) in all the “ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES” of all Civil field personnel, and all Tower field personnel, and the below listed items:
- Provide leadership and management to field personnel to ensure that the mission and core values of Heartland Solutions are adhered to and put into practice
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude that reflects Heartland Solutions Corp’s mission and standards
- Work with Construction Coordinator for order/delivery of materials, construction tools and equipment
- Assist with training and direction to crews that will help crews and individuals in doing their job safer and/or more efficiently
- Responsible for knowing and collecting information about the job site
- Perform bid walks and pre-construction meetings when needed
- Notify appropriate parties immediately of any issues which may affect efficient operations
- Oversee HSC employees and our subcontractors
- Comply with all company standards, policies, and procedures
- Monitor the compliance with set regulations
- Ensure the crews are following company, client, and industry safety standards
- Ensure that all company and client required paperwork is up to date and complete
- Motivate crew members in a positive manner and keep moral high while working
- Monitor and direct the progress of the construction site
- Ensure that the construction work is completed on schedule
- Ensure the most economical and best construction practices are utilized throughout each project
- Ensure that all company facilities, customer facilities, and company vehicles are kept clean, orderly and serviced properly
- Ensure timely & effective communication with clients
- The employee may be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested by the Project Manager or senior management of the company, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must be in good physical condition with the ability to bend, twist, squat and lift 75 lbs. and pull their own body weight plus equipment weight up a vertical tower
- Working outside 52 weeks per year in different parts of the country and in conditions that include: inclement weather, cold, heat and humidity etc.
- Regularly working near moving mechanical parts
- Noise level is generally loud
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS)
- Must be able to drive a company vehicle to & from sites daily, and frequently for long hours
- Must always exhibit safe & courteous driving habits while driving a company vehicle
- A degree in Construction Management or Project Management or Equivalent Experience
- Must meet all the “MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS)” of all Civil field personnel, and all Tower field personnel
OTHER REQUIRMENTS:
- Must hold a valid driver’s license, able to drive a company vehicle, acceptable driving history to be added to HSC insurance.
- Must meet all the “OTHER REQUIRMENTS” of all Civil field personnel, and all Tower field personnel, and the below listed items:
- The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking and in writing so others will understand
