POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing and monitoring construction and maintenance services. The PM will ensure that proper workflows and controls are established and utilized and ensure contract compliance and productivity are maximized while maintaining Heartland Tower Solutions’ superior quality, business and safety standards. This position will provide the leadership, planning, organization, direction, coordination and control to carry out profitable projects. The PM is also responsible for assisting and supporting other management and senior management teams, when requested.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership and management to project management and field personnel to ensure that the mission and core values of Heartland Solutions are adhered to and put into practice
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude that reflects Heartland Solutions Corp’s mission and standards
- Comply with all company standards, policies, and procedures
- Lead others by example
- Direct and manage projects from beginning to end including but not limited to the following:
- Ensure that all appropriate permits, NTP, lease status approvals, etc. have been received prior to beginning construction
- Ensure compliance and corporate quality standards are met or exceeded
- Coordinate all ordering for services, equipment, materials, and activities of outside vendors that are needed for the project
- Collaborate with operations management in scheduling of crews
- Create and maintain a timeline with project milestones and deliverables, and ensure each project is progressing according to the schedule
- Follow all bid procedures as listed in our policy
- Conduct bid walks and preconstruction meetings
- Visit the job site on the first day of construction if the project is new to Heartland Tower Solutions, job site requires special access or if the crew is new to the program.
- Responsible for leading Construction Manager and Construction Coordinator to build a cost-effective site
- Managing labor cost to stay within the parameters of Heartland’s bid
- Ensure the most economical and best construction practices are utilized throughout each project
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel, and make sure they are completed accurately and on time
- Ensure quality construction standards and compliance of project plans are met or exceeded
- Coordinate quality assurance process and resolution, including all punch-list items
- Work with the Construction Coordinator to ensure each project’s entire closeout is submitted to our clients on time and meets the client’s requirements
- Make sure the appropriate information, photos, reports, and testing is completed for each closeout by having crew double check prior to leaving the site
- Work alongside company Safety Director to maintain safe work environments
- Complete periodic required safety site inspections
- Monitor safety process of employees and contractors
- Ensure compliance with regulations are met
- The Project Manager may be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested by the VP of Operations or other senior management of the company, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.

- Ability to effectively utilize technical documentation and literature
- In depth understanding of regulations pertaining to maintenance of the equipment that Heartland works on
- Ability to work with and manage people while holding their respect
- Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work in a team atmosphere
- Positively motivate crew members and keep moral high while working
- Must obtain an independent work style and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Occasionally will be working outside in conditions that include: inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt
- Intermittently working near moving mechanical parts, when working in the field
- Noise level is generally loud while working in the field, and is usually low to moderate while working in the office
- Frequently is required to use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls
- The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or craw
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS)
- High school diploma/ GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in business or construction management is highly preferred
- Must have thorough understanding of cellular site construction and extensive knowledge in telecommunications constructions
- Must have at least 3 years of field experience in telecommunications industry
- Must have at least 3 years of management experience (management experience in the telecommunications industry is preferred)
- Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and other industry software
- Preferred training, but not required:
- OSHA
- Fiber Testing Certification
- PIM Certification
- Anritsu Certification
OTHER REQUIRMENTS:
- Must be local or willing to relocate to this area
- Must hold a valid unrestricted driver’s license and be insurable by Heartland’s insurance provider
- Willing to work long hours, weekends, non-structured schedule, etc.
