Touchmark on South Hill is Spokane’s leading full-service retirement community, enriching the lives of residents and their families through five-star hospitality, services and amenities.  We are currently seeking a creative and compassionate person to join the talented team in our Memory Care Neighborhood as a Life Enrichment Coordinator.
 

As a Memory Care Life Enrichment Coordinator, you will enrich lives every day by assisting in the planning, creation and implementation of an activities program that will meet the physical, cognitive, social, and spiritual needs of residents living in our Memory Care Neighborhood. You will have the daily opportunity to exercise your ability to encourage and motivate others, and to be a positive presence in the lives of residents and their families!

 

Starting wage at $19/hr and up! 
 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a commitment to Touchmark’s values (excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion), as well as a desire to model these values and to encourage others to be allies, friends and givers;
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent;
  • Recreation Therapy student or graduate preferred; 
  • Experience working with dementia residents highly preferred;  
  • Have experience working with a social or recreational activities program in a health care setting, and preferably have experience working with people living with dementia;
  • Valid driver’s license and be able to provide an annual driving record with favorable results;
  • Enjoy working as part of a team to arrange, organize, and assist with activities such as holiday and birthday celebrations, social events, and exercise programs;
  • Have a genuine interest in caring for elderly residents and working in a geriatric environment;
  • Have a commitment to confidentiality in respect to resident status and medical history;
  • Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members and visitors;
  • Food Handler’s Permit.
