Director of Financial Aid - Boulder Residential
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Director of Financial Aid - Residential is responsible for the hiring, training, and team performance of Financial Aid Advisors on the Boulder Residential Campus, by providing exemplary customer service and assisting students navigate through various funding options to finance their education.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Staff Development- hire, train, and develop team members.
• Communication- ensure each Financial Aid Advisor has an appropriate student volume within the packaging lifecycle, to maintain 72-hour contact with unpackaged students, and articulate to the Campus President students that are stalling within the packaging lifecycle
. • Communication - demonstrate collaborative and effective channels of communication between Financial Aid and admissions, to ensure an excellent student experience.
• Systems- each Financial Aid Advisor will have access to the systems needed to best assist students with funding options., such as Campus Nexus, Salesforce, MY Livechat, Zoom, NSLDS, COD, et al.
• Operations- ensure that each Financial Aid Advisor is providing exemplary customer service by reviewing call observations, and making sure students are progressing through the packaging lifecycle by achieving 75% packaging rate by On-start date.
• Operations - ensure that 2nd academic year packaging is completed in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Other duties as required or assigned. QUALIFICATIONS
• High School diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience working in Financial Aid.
• Prior Financial Aid Management Experience required.
• Must have prior experience with a Student Finance Audit.
• Must be familiar with SFA Audit Guidelines, Title IV Handbook, rules and regulations.
• Prior VA Certifying Official experience is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business equipment.
Siting for long periods of time; up to 8 hours of computer and/or phone work daily.
Some travel will be expected between the campuses.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Majority of work is performed in a general office environment.
The position is expected to be in the office 3 days a week and has weekend or evening activities 4 -5 times a year.
