About this opportunity:

Manages and oversees the administrative functions of the office to ensure effective and timely workflow processes; performs advanced, complex, and highly confidential administrative office work with a broad scope of responsibilities; manages communication into and out of the department and out of the Division; coordinates information and arrangements for meetings and seminars; serves as a lead worker or mentor to Personnel Department employees.


Key responsibilities:

  • General Administrative Responsibilities (50%
  • Office Management and Liaison Responsibilities (25%)
  • Divisional Events and TARO (25%)

What we are looking for in you:


  • Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, human resources, social work, or related field, and Five years with progressive responsibility/experience performing administrative work in a general office environment, with three years experience similar work for executive leadership, or  Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Valid State Driver’s License (Preferred)



Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:


Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to perform routine mathematical computations. Ability to type and operate a personal computer. Ability to sort and file documents alphabetically and numerically. Ability to follow instructions and work independently with limited supervision. Ability to perform and complete tasks in a flexible manner and under the pressure of tight deadlines. Ability to perform all duties with an understanding of the mission, ministry, philosophy, culture, and protocol of The Salvation Army and conducts all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization and its Christian principles; conducts all communications and job duties with the highest level of professionalism. Duties are usually performed seated.  Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 30 lbs.) 20-30% of work time. May occasionally lift, pull objects up to 50 lbs.Work is usually performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
