Location: Florida Divisional Headquarters, Lutz, FL

Position Type: Regular Full-Time, Exempt

Pay Range: $52,832.86– $59,434.87/yr

About this opportunity:

Trains, monitors, analyzes, supervises, and supports the financial operations of the SAGE software for the assigned Region within the Division including accounts receivables, accounts payables, payroll and the audit of the regional locations; ensures the financial integrity including accurate financial records; compiles and interprets financial information including cost and cash flow analysis and advises the Commanding Officers regarding the same. 

Key responsibilities:

• Trains, supervises, and supports bookkeepers/accounting personnel in the Division; overall supervision and review of accounting records, ledgers, and statements for accuracy and completeness. 

• Monitors, analyzes, and evaluates the financial operations of the SAGE software for the assigned Region within the Division including accounts receivables, accounts payables, payroll and the audit of the regional locations; ensures the proper procedures are followed by bookkeepers/accounting personnel with respect to journals, various ledger activity, updating of the chart of accounts, required cash logs, back-up of data, and custodian of all financial reports; ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same.

• Oversees and ensures the accurate and timely completion in the generation, reconciliation, and review all ledger accounts for accuracy on a monthly basis; works with unit bookkeepers and accounting personnel in preparing and entering all correcting journal entries;

• Train and provide guidance to employees at the regional locations on the use of the financial software including how to properly perform data entry for check writing, and receipt entry, and how to run all reports.

 What we are looking for in you:

Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, and four years’ work in accounting accompanied by experience working in a religious, charitable organization preferred, or any equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
