Location:  Barren County Family Store.   
About this opportunity:
Plans, administers, monitors, and evaluates the day-to-day operations of a medium-sized Thrift Store with a limited staff, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures; processes, displays, and prices donated items to ensure reasonable financial return on the sale of store items; assists customers in a polite and friendly manner; prepares store displays that are attractive, neat, and orderly; rotates and re-stocks store merchandise to ensure quick turnover; ensures the accountability and security of all store items and funds.  Serve as a lead worker to volunteers and or/subordinate store personnel.

What we are looking for in you:
  • A High School diploma or G.E.D. and two years of progressively responsible experience working in a retail store environment, with at least one year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
     
    or
     
    Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
 
 
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
 
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
 
Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
 
Ability to perform mathematical computations.
 
Ability to perform frequent walking and/or standing, kneeling, or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting.
 
Work is performed in a typical store environment with little or no physical discomforts associated with weather changes.  Work is performed in a warehouse environment where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
