Location:    The Salvation Army - National Capital Area Command
Position Type:    Regular Full-Time
Pay Range: $17.50 – 20.00/hour    


About this opportunity:
This position is responsible for under the general supervision of the Property Manager, the Building Maintenance Worker is responsible for vehicle and equipment maintenance; office furniture set-up and configuration; and transportation services for the National Capital Area Command.


Key responsibilities:
•    Building Maintenance 
•    Vehicle Maintenance 
•    Furniture Acquisition/Maintenance 


What we are looking for in you:
•    High school diploma or G.E.D.
•    Experience driving a large truck or large van
•    Valid Driver’s License and must meet TSA MVR Requirements.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Physical ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy objects. Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and climbing.

Work is performed in various environments where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
