Family Store Manager I

Location: Thrift Store - Paducah, KY 

About this opportunity:

Plans, supervises, monitors, and evaluates the day-to-day operations of the Thrift Store; plans, supervises, and monitors the work of all Thrift Store personnel, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures as well as budget constraints; plans, supervises, and evaluates the layout and display of Thrift Store merchandise to generate maximum financial return; oversee the processing of merchandise in the warehouse to ensure that items reach store floors promptly; plans and supervises the rotation and re-arranging of stock; prepares and monitors sales, statistical and financial reports. Interacts with the community, as required, to encourage donations and sales and communicate the mission of The Salvation Army in the service area.

What we are looking for in you:

High School diploma or G.E.D. and four years of progressively responsible experience in retail/thrift sales management with at least two years experience in a supervisory capacity,

or

Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to meet attendance requirements.

Ability to effectively read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to perform mathematical computations as related to store management t·.

Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull heavy (501bs. plus) materials, supplies, and equipment. Heavy mobility: duties are usually performed by a combination of standing, walking, and primarily sitting.

Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
