The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a great opportunity for a Family Life Center Youth Chaplain (Part-Time) role supporting the mission of the Evangeline Booth Training College located at 1032 Metropolitan Parkway SW, Atlanta, GA 30310.

Job Summary


Serves as the Chaplain to all youth members of the Family Life Center; builds and maintains a community of spiritual development; Attends and participates in Family Life Center department meetings; maintains a list of known prayer concerns within Family Life Teen Center; Prays for each member of the Family Life Center regularly; Prepares a monthly prayer calendar for the department; assists in all other department projects as needed.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


Knowledge of the principles and practices of Christianity; the Bible and ability to prepare Bible lessons; Ability to communicate clearly and listen effectively, especially to youth; Lead small youth group in Bible study; Lead individuals to salvation; Provide spiritual counseling for youth and respond to Biblical questions.


 


Education and Experience


At least one year of training at Evangeline Booth College.

None


 


 


Requirements and Working Conditions


Work is performed in a Family Life Center environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
