Retail and Wholesale Sales Management

  • Direct supervisory of Sales & Design Consultants, Area Sales & Design Specialists and Selling Center Design Specialists
  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day performance of the Sales & Design Consultants (SDCs), Area Sales & Design Specialists (ASDS) and Selling Center Design Specialists (SCDS) in assigned market including KPI and SFDC oversight
  • Develop and coach all sales team members on selling techniques, closing the sale, customer follow up 
  • Provide on the ground support for sales employees to ensure they achieve lead goals; assist with the closing of large/complicated sales including pricing in coordination with the RSDs
  • Conducts periodic employee performance reviews
  • Responsible for the full-cycle recruitment of all sales personnel in the District; recruits, hires, trains, and manages all sales team members
  • Onboard and provide ongoing training and coaching for all sales employees with the District
  • Performs safety training with sales staff and represents the sales team during safety committee meetings, prepare, schedule, lead sales safety meetings, following OSHA guidelines
  • Event management, planning and execution
  • Build relationships with all Home Depot Stores in the District; visiting regularly; participating in joint calls with ASCSs and SCDSs.
  • Manage the market dealership program
  • Review all sales cancellations, taking action to prevent loss when possible
  • Ensure consistent quality customer service is taking place
  • Ensure all sales staff is adhering to company policy regarding social media
  • Ensure timely build scheduling and customer communication
  • Utilize various business reporting tools: JD Edwards, Business Objects, Salesforce tgo review business and sales trends, taking appropriate measures ensuring performance is being achieved
  • Review and analyze the Profit and Loss statements, making adjustments as necessary
  • Conduct regular sales meetings with ASDSs and SDCs
  • Walk Home Depot stores with the ASCSs and SCDSs weekly

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience building and managing a team and meeting challenging sales targets
  • Experience training/teaching sales professionals on selling and closing techniques including role playing
  • Business-to-Consumer and Business-to-Business in large ticket products
  • A proven track record of meeting sales goals and company KPI's
  • Customer Relations Management (CRM) software - including Oracle, JDE, Onyx, Salesforce.com, Goldmine and similar systems
  • Strong PC skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook; CRM (Salesforce) experience highly preferred; Oracle, JDE, Onyx, Goldmine or similar systems
  • Successful background networking and growing long-term business partnerships; ability to deal with multiple issues, growing trust and solving problems
  • Ability to travel up to 60% within the District
  • Must possess a current valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report
EDUCATION
• High school diploma or requisite experience required
• Bachelor’s degree or requisite experience preferred
 

MINIMUM QUALIFYING SKILLS
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
Must pass a pre-employment background screening
Must have a reliable vehicle for daily Tuff Shed business use, which must have adequate room for supplies, and signage
