Position Summary: 

 

The Project Manager (PMO) role reports to the Manager, Program Management Office (PMO). The Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of various internal projects across the enterprise (matrix organizational structure). These projects will vary in complexity (mid to high), size and change management risk.

 

The PMO is responsible for the planning, prioritization, execution, delivery and reporting of programs and projects assigned to the Business Transformation team.

 

This position is hybrid.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Owns and actively manages simultaneous projects through their entire lifecycle following standard project management methodologies, internally established best practices and processes.
  • Contributes to thoughtful and creative discussions with Project Sponsor(s) on defining project objectives, goals, resource planning and scheduling.
  • Ensures project success by educating Project Sponsor(s) and Stakeholders about project management's triple constraint, create the best balance between changes that will impact cost, time, and scope.
  • Partners with internal stakeholders and leads cross-functional project teams to understand and accomplish project objectives, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Ensures the business benefits of projects assigned are clearly defined, understood and the project team establishes appropriate measures of success.
  • Establishes and maintains project plans, reports progress as required, generates risk assessments, escalates issues and facilitates project review discussions.
  • Manages a highly complex business calendar with a keen sense of prioritization and time management.
  • Navigates project changes; identifies and removes barriers and coordinates with a variety of cross-functional project team members.
  • Participates in the development and continuous improvement of best practices, PM templates and methodology for our internal Program Management office (PMO)
  • Incorporates and uphold UniGroup’s core values in all aspects of the role.
  • Performs other duties as assigned for business continuity. 

 

Qualifications: 

Education, License or Certification:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management Certification preferred

Experience:  

  • 3+ years of hands-on Project Management experience required.
  • Experience developing and delivering communication and presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders across different levels
  • Virtual collaboration capabilit

  • Conflict resolution: Fosters open communication on the project team. Addresses delicate situations and handles conflicts in such a way as to maximize opportunity and minimize exposure to risk.
  • Communication effectiveness: Conveys goals and objectives clearly and in a compelling manner; listens effectively and clarifies information as needed; interprets verbal and non-verbal messages that others communicate; produces clear status reports; communicates tactfully and candidly.
  • Collaboration: Builds coalitions among the various stakeholders; negotiates authority to move the project forward. Creates a sense of belonging and ownership among project team members (hybrid/remote)
  • Technology: Proficient in using multiple software programs, collaboration tools and web-based applications; Microsoft Office Suite products, internet browsers, JIRA, and Slack
