What are we looking for?

The Senior Analyst is responsible for supporting the functions of the Billing team and serving as a lead for the handling of specific tasks. These include managing accounts receivable balances for write off consideration, collections activities with customers, client managers and Operations leadership, the negative balance and provider billing, and supporting the month end close activities. The Senior Analyst is also responsible for completing review of RT tickets related to the accounts receivable and customer inquiry tasks. Will work with configuration, network and billing team members as needed to support the tasks of the department. Will work with the Finance staff as needed for month end close activities. The Senior Analyst will work with internal contacts, customers and providers in managing the work tasks as noted within this job description.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Lead responsible for the activities of the Billing team in managing the provider billing for excel/tower efforts.
  • Manage the provider payments and collection activities for the provider billing.
  • Manage the CV/CVX/HSP collections activities, sending letters to customers and working with Client managers to follow established collections policy.
  • Responsible for recommending customers for consideration for termination of coverage due to non payment of billed premiums in accordance with collections timelines.
  • Take a lead role in managing the month end close activities, working with the Operations and Finance teams in the completion of these efforts.
  • Manage the provider negative balance process, billing and collections efforts with providers and management of payments received.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between billed and paid amounts.
  • Monitor aged receivable balances and address partial payments to reconcile and determine unpaid membership, work with customers, client managers and the Enrollment team to modify group enrollment to match payment remittances.
  • Complete department tasks with attention to established SOC controls in accordance with defined expectations, monitoring weekly to ensure proper completion of tasks and retention of evidence of controls is completed.
  • Support team activities and customer/position needs in the absence of a team member to ensure timely attention is given to all items
  • Other duties as assigned.

What’s necessary to do the job?

 

  • Five (5) years of Health Plan billing experienced required.
  • Experienced serving in a lead role in regards to health plan billing of balances to customers and providers required.
  • Advanced experience in using MS Office products, including Excel and Work.
  • Direct client interface experience required related to billing and accounts receivable items.
  • Preferred PC knowledge to include the following software applications: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Ultra editor, and Microsoft Access, EDI Gateways/Mapping Software
  • Insurance experience preferred

The wage range for applicants for this position is [$60,000.00 to $65,000.00].
