Director of People Operations

The Director of People Operations will direct and coordinate the activities, projects and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring excellent employee service, legal compliance and implementation of the organization's mission and talent strategy. This position is based in the DFW area, primarily remote/work from home with occasional site visits to clinics throughout the metroplex. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department including HR operations, recruiting, payroll and benefits.
  • Directly manages People Team staff

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Leads develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Manages employee relations as needed, investigating and resolving issues for employees and managers
  • Oversees and optimizes the HRIS/Dayforce processes, reporting and metrics.
  • Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
  • Serves as a member of the leadership team, and works closely with Operations, IT, Finance and Clinical leaders.
  • Coordinates with vendors to maximize value of employee programs, services and approve invoices
  • Performs other duties as required.

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS system (Dayforce).

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • At least five years of human resources management experience required.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP and/or PHR or SPHR strongly preferred

Travel and Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel to DFW locations as needed for meetings, site visits as needed, approximately 2 x per month.
  • Ability to travel occasionally (approximately once per quarter) to Memphis and Nashville, TN clinics
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to focus for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
