POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinical Director oversees staff and program operations at a Mental Health outpatient facility, focusing on group therapy and Psychiatry visits including medication management. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees location operations and staff, Ensures program financial viability through review of revenue and cost control mechanisms.
  • Responsible for achieving targeted key metrics for the facility and organization established by the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Actively participates as a member of the treatment team collaboratively to provide the best treatment for clients.
  • Overall responsibility for state licensing compliance by ensuring program and facility compliance, and employment record compliance.
  • Engage with the community to foster strong local relationships. Build community and referral partnerships.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, communication, positive energy, and compassionate support for patients, peers, and oneself
  • Collaborate with other departments, teams, and stakeholders, including Treatment teams, Local- and leadership teams, Business development teams, Medical Directors, Medical and Psychiatric Providers Nursing Departments, Patient families, Local hospitals and providers, Utilization review teams, and insurance companies’ Local colleges and universities, Professional organizations.
  • Improve and oversee processes related to Admissions and intake, Assessments and referrals, Treatment and aftercare planning, Documentation expectations, Training, and competency checks.
  • Maintain department budget and manage expenses.
  • Steps in to cover other areas as needed
  • Completes patient intake clinical assessments daily as needed
  • Participated in marketing events with business development as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare office management role and demonstrated abilities to mentor and develop staff; strong facility leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher or 2+ years equivalent experience
  • Master’s Degree preferred in Mental Health, BSN, or master’s level licensed Therapist

 

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND SPECIAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to sit for long periods (6-8 hours). 
  • Ability to reach above and below the waist, turn, twist and to manipulate small tools (copier, computer, telephone, typewriter, calculator, safe, facsimile machine). 
  • Ability to see well enough to read handwritten and typewritten material. 
  • Must have the ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel between facility locations, and at times, the corporate office. 
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks under deadlines and with short notice. 
  • Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position.
  • Light physical effort requires handling average weight objects up to 10 lbs. and some standing and walking.
  • Learning, thinking, concentration, and the ability to work under pressure, particularly during busy times.
  • Must be able to pay close attention to detail and able to work as a member of a team collaboratively.
  • Must have the ability to exercise discretion as well as appropriate judgments when necessary.
